JoCasta’s Platform
Cost of Living
Across Wisconsin, families are feeling squeezed. Prices are up, but wages and support haven’t kept pace. As the daughter of a single mom who worked multiple jobs, JoCasta knows how hard it is to stretch every dollar. She’s using this campaign to call for bold, statewide investment in affordable child care, attainable housing, and relief at the grocery store—not in five years, but now. These aren’t luxuries. They’re essentials every family should have access to.
Housing Affordability
JoCasta has led the way on housing solutions in Milwaukee and understands how deeply the affordability crisis is affecting families across the state. She believes the state must play a more active role in supporting affordable housing development, preventing displacement, and making sure renters and first-time buyers have a fair shot. Every Wisconsinite deserves a safe, stable place to live.
Access to Affordable Child Care
The rising cost and limited availability of child care is holding back families and our economy. JoCasta supports major state-level investments to expand access, improve quality, and ensure child care providers are paid fairly. She knows that child care is infrastructure—and essential to helping working parents thrive.
A State That Works
JoCasta has seen up close what happens when government underfunds our schools: constant referenda, underpaid teachers, and families forced to fill in the gaps. She’s fighting for a Wisconsin where public education is fully funded by the state—not pieced together through emergency votes and bake sales. Our kids deserve better, and our communities do too.
Public Lands, Public Good
The Secretary of State serves on the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, which manages over $1.3 billion in trust funds and 77,000 acres of land. Those funds support public schools and libraries across the state. JoCasta sees this responsibility not as a footnote, but as a real opportunity to invest in Wisconsin’s future. She’ll ensure these resources are protected, expanded, and directed to where they’re needed most.
A Better Future for Every Community
Whether you’re a farmworker in the Driftless, a teacher in Appleton, or a parent raising kids in Milwaukee, JoCasta believes you deserve a fair shot. That means building systems that include everyone—especially the people too often left out. As someone who’s spent her life breaking barriers and delivering results, she’s committed to using this office to uplift the communities that power our state.
